OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To win souls for the Kingdom of God, and impact a positive change in the lives of men, women, boys, and girls by preaching and teaching the Word of God, demonstrating the power of God, and meeting the spiritual, moral, and economical needs of man.

OUR FOUNDER
Elder Aaron Williams Sr. was born on February 2, 1934 in Andalusia, Alabama. He founded the Bibleway Church of God in Christ in 1971 where his initial church congregation would meet at the YMCA on Main Street in Orange, NJ to fellowship weekly.

Shortly after establishing his congregation, Elder Williams was able to purchase Bibleway Church's current building located at 26 N. Essex Avenue in Orange, NJ. During his time as the pastor of Bibleway, he was asked by his friend, and pastor of Temple of Faith Church of God in Christ, L.G. Maddox, to take over stewardship of his church in Mansfield, OH just prior to his death in 1978. Elder Aaron Williams presided over both Bibleway Church and Maddox Memorial (formerly Temple of Faith) simultaneously for 26 years.

In 2004, Elder Williams formally granted the pastorship of Bibleway to Elder Jeffrey Parks while continuing to lead the congregation at Maddox Memorial in Ohio until 2015. He retired from his position as pastor to allow his son, Aaron Williams Jr. to lead the church at Maddox Memorial.
Elder Williams passed away on April 15, 2017 at his home after an extended illness but left behind a legacy of love, fidelity, and faithfulness to the churches he pastored.

OUR PASTOR
Jeffery Parks was born and raised in Rochester, NY, the last of 4 children. In August 1985, at the age of 21, he moved to East Orange, NJ where he eventually proposed to, and married, his longtime girlfriend, First Lady Sandra Parks. Together they have four daughters: Cassandra, Antoinette, Jennifer and Kimberly.

In 1991, Jeffrey Parks felt God calling him to turn his life over to Him and on Good Friday that year, he agreed to give his life over to the Lord. From then on, Jeffery began serving diligently as a member of The Bible Way C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of our founder, Pastor Aaron Williams.

In August 2001, Jeffery Parks was ordained by Bishop Norman Prescott as a minister of the Church of God in Christ's Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction in NJ. The favor of God was upon him and in April 2004, Pastor Aaron Williams passed the mantle of leadership of the Bible Way Church over to Elder Jeffery Parks. Elder Parks was officially installed as pastor on April 24, 2004 by Bishop Norman Prescott.

On January 9, 2012, Pastor Jeffery Parks was elevated to the position of District Superintendent of the Northern district of the New Jersey Third Jurisdiction; a position he currently holds to this day.

His life is a testimony as to how “No good thing will God withhold from him who walks uprightly.” (Psalms 84:11)
